ABOUT ME

As a professional life coach for men, I am keenly aware that men are less likely to discuss or seek help for their mental health problems. There are many reasons for this, including gender stereotypes and societal expectations. We’re expected to ‘Man Up’ and deal with it.

The past 2 years have resulted in higher levels of stress in men than ever before, with challenges surrounding work and life and family commitments leading to some almost reaching breaking point.

I speak from personal experience. At aged 53 with a hugely succesful global sales career behind me, I began to fall into a downward spiral and  I realised I needed help.  I can distinctly remember the sense of liberation and relief immediately following the moment I had clicked the “send” button of the email I had drafted asking to be contacted by a coach, who really did turn my life around. Through our work together, I started on a career new path; to help other men in similar situations and to get men talking about mentail health and I trained to be a life coach.

You don't need to suffer alone, and by simply talking through a situation and working out strategies can help immensely.

ARE YOU FEELING LIKE THIS?

Men are under greater pressure than ever.  Unsure and destabilised, uncertain as to exactly what role they have in the world - as much of the focus regarding personal well-being is directed elsewhere.

The male role in society - taken for granted since the dawn of time - is no longer straightforward.

The rightful redressing of the issues of equality for women has not come without some unintended side effects or fallout for men - especially for the generation that has found itself at the crossroads of these changes.

Feelings of inadequacy, weakness, and insecurity, in many cases leading to depression and worse, has left many men feeling vulnerable.

This can be overwhelming & in the majority of cases is compounded by an inability to ask for help.I’m here to tell you: It’s ok for you to feel vulnerable.

I'm here to help.

Many times what people need is not a brilliant mind that speaks, but a special heart that listens

MY WORK - COACHING FOR MEN

For someone who is feeling vulnerable or helpless the act of communicating with someone else through speech is fundamental.

Trapped in your own thoughts you are living in your in your head.  Speaking up means stepping out of yourself. It means giving a piece of yourself to someone else. We reveal ourselves in speech.

If you are facing a personal struggle – trying but failing to hold it all together, let’s have an initial no-obligation chat. My style is open, empathetic and completely non-judgmental.

I can listen and understand the challenges you’re facing, and I can explain how I can help you  find your sense of self again. It will be completely confidential.

How I can help

HOW I CAN HELP

If you are struggling to cope with challenges or perhaps you’re at a crossroads, considering making a career or a life change – maybe driven by circumstances outside your control. If there is something on your mind, and it’s affecting your life, coaching will help you find solutions. You may have been putting this off for some time, as, like a lot of men, you may not find it easy to talk about things.

Men have coaching for many reasons, personal and professional. These include stress management, relationships. confidence, parenting, career or work-related matters, and work/life balance.

All coaching sessions are confidential.

We’ll start with an introductory phone call. This helps us to get to know each other and I can answer any questions you may have.

The coaching sessions can be both online or face to face. During these sessions, we will work on your specific goals and challenges. You’ll leave a session with agreed actions to help you make the desired changes. I am always happy to hear from clients via email or WhatsApp between sessions.
